Samsung intends to increase the prices of its entire Galaxy S26 lineup in the South Korean market starting October 1, 2026. This decision is reportedly driven by the ongoing rise in memory component costs affecting the consumer electronics industry.

According to notifications sent to local mobile operators, the price for each model in the series will rise by ₩149,600. The base Galaxy S26 model will see its price climb from ₩1,254,000 to ₩1,403,600.

The Galaxy S26+ will be priced at ₩1,601,600, up from the previous ₩1,452,000. Meanwhile, the premium Galaxy S26 Ultra model will increase from ₩1,797,400 to ₩1,947,000.

Retailers and distributors have expressed concerns regarding the potential impact of these price hikes on smartphone sales. There is a fear that consumers may delay upgrading their devices due to the current economic climate, which could lead to increased activity in the secondary smartphone market.
