Samsung has initiated the rollout of the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro in South Korea. This firmware is based on the Android 17 operating system, marking the first time a device from the XCover rugged series has received this version of the interface. The company plans to expand the update to additional regions in the near future.

The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro features a 6.6-inch PLS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, paired with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It includes a 50 MP and 8 MP rear camera setup, along with a 13 MP front-facing sensor. The 4350 mAh battery is user-replaceable.

The smartphone is built for durability, meeting the IP68 standard for water and dust resistance, as well as the MIL-STD-810H military standard. One UI 9 introduces enhanced customization for the quick settings panel, updates to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, and new gaming settings. Additionally, the update adds Galaxy AI features like My FanCam, Now Brief, and Now Nudge.

The software update also includes new privacy tools, such as warnings for potentially malicious applications. Furthermore, Samsung has improved the document scanning and voice recording capabilities within the system to provide users with more efficient tools for daily tasks.
