Users of Samsung Galaxy S24, S25, and S26 series smartphones have reported issues after installing the One UI 9 update. According to reports, devices display an XML Access Denied error when attempting to access the setup screen, preventing users from reaching the home screen.
The issue affects the Galaxy S24, S25, and S26 series, as well as some foldable models. While the exact scale of the problem remains unclear, reports have surfaced across platforms like Reddit and X. The error occurs after a successful OTA update installation and subsequent reboot.
Leaker Fahad Ali Javed suggests the error may stem from server-side changes implemented by Samsung to prevent firmware leaks. The company has not yet confirmed this cause, nor has it provided an official explanation or a timeline for a fix.
Some users have found temporary workarounds to bypass the error. These include disconnecting the device from the internet during the setup process or restarting the phone, which may resolve the issue if server-side conditions have shifted.
