Recent reports from industry analysts, including Roland Quandt and Ice Universe, clarify the camera specifications for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra. The device will retain a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, contradicting earlier rumors that suggested a shift to a 4x optical module with a 1/1.9-inch sensor.
The ultra-wide camera will also remain unchanged, keeping its 50-megapixel resolution. However, the front-facing camera is set for an upgrade. Samsung plans to replace the long-standing 12-megapixel sensor with a new 16-megapixel unit that includes autofocus capabilities to enhance image clarity and video call quality.
Beyond camera hardware, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to feature the M16 OLED display panel. For processing power, the company will likely utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip in certain markets, while other regions may receive versions equipped with the proprietary Exynos 2700 processor.
