Samsung has accelerated the rollout of its September security update for Galaxy devices, covering over 30 models including smartphones and tablets. The patch addresses 90 vulnerabilities, with 20 classified as critical. The distribution process, which began in the second week of September, was previously delayed due to the concurrent deployment of One UI 9.
The security patch includes 58 fixes provided by Google, consisting of 18 critical and 40 high-severity vulnerabilities. Samsung Mobile contributed an additional 31 fixes, which include two critical, three high-severity, and 15 medium-severity issues. The update is being released in stages, with availability depending on the specific device model and geographic region.
The list of devices receiving the update features models such as the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Flip 8, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Galaxy S26 FE, S23 series, and various A, M, and F series smartphones. Additionally, the update covers a wide range of tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S11 series, Tab S10 series, Tab S9 series, and Tab Active 5 models. Many other devices are still awaiting the patch.
