Samsung has officially ended software support for the Galaxy A23 5G, which was originally released in 2022. The device will no longer receive new versions of Android, One UI updates, or regular security patches. The smartphone launched with Android 12 and One UI 4.0, eventually receiving two major OS upgrades to Android 13 and Android 14.

Following the end of major OS updates, the company provided quarterly security patches for two years. The LTE version of the Galaxy A23 reached its end-of-support phase earlier, receiving its final security update in April 2026. The Galaxy A23 5G marks the last model in the A2x series with such a limited update cycle.

Subsequent models have seen significant improvements in support duration. The Galaxy A24 received four major OS updates and five years of security patches. For the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A27, Samsung has committed to six years of combined OS and security updates. While the A23 5G remains functional, it will no longer receive fixes for emerging security vulnerabilities.
