Samsung is accelerating its foldable device strategy following Apple's recent release of the iPhone Duo. The company plans to launch the second-generation Galaxy Z TriFold 2 earlier than originally scheduled to maintain its competitive position in the high-end market.

The Galaxy Z TriFold 2 is expected to feature a new hinge design, which aims to significantly reduce the device's thickness compared to its predecessor. Industry reports also suggest that Samsung is exploring the integration of an S Pen directly into the chassis of this new foldable model.

In addition to the TriFold 2, Samsung may introduce its first mass-produced rollable smartphone. By offering both triple-fold and rollable form factors, the company intends to strengthen its presence in the flexible display segment and counter the impact of new market entrants.
