The CyberShield educational project has launched in Saint Petersburg, focusing on digital literacy and cybersecurity for students in grades 1–11. The initiative involves over 5,000 students and 250 teachers, with Sberbank acting as the general partner.
The curriculum consists of 8–12 sessions tailored to different age groups. Younger students learn about spam and cyberbullying, while older students study financial security, phishing, and data protection. The program utilizes the Algoritmika platform for instruction.
A cybersecurity championship is part of the project for students in grades 5–9. Following an online selection process, 120 finalists will meet on December 18, 2026, at the Academy of Technical Creativity and Digital Technologies to compete in team-based tasks.
The project is organized by BANO Svetilnik with support from the Saint Petersburg Committee for Education and the Academy of Technical Creativity and Digital Technologies. The educational materials and digital platform were developed by Algoritmika.
