The 2027 SAIC Maxus 9 electric minivan features a battery-swapping system that replaces a depleted unit in approximately 90 seconds. The vehicle is powered by a 245 hp permanent magnet synchronous motor and a 90 kWh CATL battery, offering a range of up to 560 km under the CLTC cycle. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes about 30 minutes.
The minivan measures 5270 x 2000 x 1840 mm with a 3200 mm wheelbase. It includes a triple-screen dashboard, a JBL audio system with 12 speakers, and a panoramic roof. The second-row seats feature heating, ventilation, massage, and a zero-gravity mode. Safety equipment includes seven airbags, Bosch ESP 9.3, and a surround-view camera system.
The starting price for the model is ¥290,000, with an introductory offer of ¥240,000. SAIC also introduced a hybrid business version equipped with a 50 kWh CATL Tianxing battery. This variant provides an electric-only range of 312 km and a total maximum range of 1260 km, featuring an 18-liter refrigerator and a 17-inch rear passenger screen.
