SAIC Maxus has unveiled the official images of its 2027 Star X pickup truck. The company confirmed that the vehicle is scheduled for an official market launch on September 21.
The new model features a modular cargo bed system designed for outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and photography. The vehicle is built on the Xingqiao architecture and includes a recalibrated chassis.
The truck is equipped with 18-inch wheels and specialized off-road tires. It is powered by a 2.5T turbocharged diesel engine that delivers a maximum power of 165 kW and a peak torque of 520 Nm.
The powertrain is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission manufactured by ZF. The vehicle is positioned by the manufacturer as a product for the 3.0 era of pickup trucks.
