Manchester-based fintech Ryft has secured £20 million in a Series B funding round led by Gresham House Ventures. Existing investors Pembroke VCT and Ingenii Capital also participated in the round. This capital injection brings the company's total funding to approximately £27.4 million since its inception in 2021.
Founded by Sadra Hosseini, Alex Mackenzie, and Richard Kirby, Ryft provides a platform for splitting single transactions among multiple parties. The company previously raised a £1.2 million seed round in 2022 and a £5.7 million Series A led by EdenBase in April 2025.
The new funding is earmarked for international expansion into Europe and the US. Ryft is currently applying for a full EU payments licence from the Malta Financial Services Authority to facilitate operations across the European Economic Area.
Over the past 12 months, Ryft has tripled its team size and processing volume. The platform currently serves more than 6,500 businesses, including Epos Now and the Disasters Emergency Committee, while maintaining partnerships with major networks like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
