The Rutoken Bio product line includes the Rutoken EDS 3.0 3250 Bio device, which features hardware-based fingerprint authentication. The device allows storing up to three fingerprints, with biometric templates remaining on the hardware to prevent export. The average verification time is less than one second.
The system utilizes the FAPI library for biometric material processing, converting fingerprints into templates according to the ISO/IEC 19794-1-2013 standard. Two neural networks are integrated: one for anti-spoofing to detect fake imprints and another for quality control to ensure accurate scanning.
Developers can integrate biometric authentication using the new BioSDK, which provides manuals for the FSSM library, code examples in C, and configuration guides for scanners from manufacturers such as Futronic, ZKTeco, Papilon, and Anviz. The system supports up to 10 consecutive failed authentication attempts before locking.
The Rutoken Logon solution for Linux will introduce three-factor authentication in version 1.1.0, enabling local and domain-based fingerprint verification. The company also plans to integrate biometric management features into the Rutoken Control Center and Rutoken Keybox.
