Public procurement of Wi-Fi equipment in Russia reached 4,64 ₽ billion in the first half of 2026, marking a 23% increase compared to the same period last year. Data provided by Kontur.Zakupki indicates a growing preference for domestic solutions, with companies like Aquarius and WowNet reporting higher demand for Russian-made hardware.
According to WowNet CEO Nikita Ivanov, requests for equipment listed in the Ministry of Industry and Trade's register of domestic telecommunications hardware (TORP) are roughly three times higher than those for non-registered devices. Inclusion in the TORP registry requires manufacturers to meet specific localization standards, distinguishing them from other local products.
Market analysis by Strategy Partners identifies Eltex, WowNet, and Quantum as key domestic manufacturers in the corporate sector. Despite this shift, foreign vendors such as Cisco, Aruba, and Huawei remain active in the Russian market. Procurement strategies are also evolving as organizations prioritize cost-efficiency.
The average contract value for state and municipal institutions fell by approximately 25% to 1,33 ₽ million. Similarly, companies with state participation reduced their average spending on individual procurement contracts by 18%, bringing the figure down to 5 ₽ million.
