The Federal Tax Service (FTS) will be able to request expanded data on digital ruble transactions, including technical device information. These new rules are scheduled to take effect no earlier than July 1, 2027.
Requested account statements will include not only the amount, time, and purpose of the payment, along with sender and receiver details, but also a technical trace. This data may include IP and MAC addresses, phone numbers, and SIM card information.
The FTS intends to use this information to correlate operations between different users. This will help identify cases where multiple independent accounts are managed from a single device, which may indicate income concealment or business splitting.
Access to physical persons' account statements will not be automatic. Requests will follow existing principles for traditional bank accounts, occurring during tax audits, debt collection, or other legal procedures, sometimes requiring approval from a higher tax authority.
