Russian Railways (RZD) is introducing a robotic train attendant named Volodya. According to CEO Oleg Belozerov, the robot has already completed an experimental trip on a Sapsan high-speed train.

The robot, which visually resembles the Unitree G1 model, was first tested in late July on route 768. During the trial, the machine greeted passengers, verified tickets and identification documents, and interacted with travelers.

In addition to the robotic attendant, RZD is advancing its automation efforts. The company plans to launch a fully autonomous Lastochka train on the Moscow Central Circle in 2027.

The organization is also testing robotic dogs for operations at heavy-traffic freight stations within the Moscow region.
