The Stankostroenie Industrial Competence Center, led by the machine tool manufacturer Stan, has identified 16 areas where domestic software is either missing or significantly lags behind foreign counterparts. The industry landscape comprises 28 directions across five categories: design, production preparation, manufacturing, service, and infrastructure management.

In the design sector, Russian solutions from companies like Ascon and Top Systems meet foreign standards by at least 70% in CAD and PDM, while CAE and PCM tools often show less than 40% parity. Manufacturing software, including ERP and MES, shows strong domestic performance with over 70% alignment with international products.

The center has approved two major projects to bridge these gaps. Fidesis is developing a CAD-CAE-CAM complex for profile forming, while Rosatom and Top Systems are creating a Product Cost Management (PCM) tool. Both projects aim to replace foreign software that currently lacks direct Russian equivalents.

The new software must support domestic hardware, including Elbrus and Baikal processors, and operate on Astra Linux and Alt Linux. These initiatives are critical to preventing financial losses and ensuring product quality, as the current lack of specialized tools limits cost estimation and manufacturing precision.
