The Russian Identity Security market reached 17 ₽ billion in 2025, according to a study by Indeed involving 200 organizations. Privileged Access Management (PAM) remains the largest segment, accounting for 34.6% of the market, with its volume growing by 13% year-over-year to 5.8 ₽ billion. Meanwhile, IdM/IGA solutions show the highest growth rate at 16% annually.
Despite the growth of security technologies, 87.5% of surveyed companies reported incidents related to user accounts and access rights. Manual errors in assigning permissions were cited by 43.5% of respondents as the most common issue. Currently, 70% of companies use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), but only 36% apply it to all employees and systems.
The market is shifting from permanent access rights toward task-specific, time-limited models, though 45.5% of organizations still grant permanent access by default. Zero Trust elements are implemented in only 16.5% of companies. Furthermore, real-time behavioral analysis is used by just 19% of organizations, with many relying on post-factum detection via SIEM or DLP systems.
The rise of AI agents introduces new security challenges, as 20% of companies have banned their use, while 19% lack any control over them. Experts suggest that managing these agents requires new tools like Credential Brokers and AI-proxy solutions. Currently, only 28.5% of organizations can provision access rights for a new employee in less than one business day.
