A joint study by Flant and Diasoft, involving 100 executives and IT specialists, reveals that 22% of Russian companies view the mandatory adoption of the digital ruble as a competitive advantage. In total, 54% of respondents identify practical benefits, while 24% still perceive it solely as a regulatory requirement.

The primary obstacles to implementation include a limited selection of certified domestic products (32%), an immature regulatory framework (28%), and a shortage of container platform specialists (12%). Only 8% of participants cited project costs and timelines as significant barriers, as many companies integrate digital ruble support into existing systems.

Currently, 46% of organizations have not yet selected a container management solution. Among those who have, 26% use certified Russian platforms. Regarding infrastructure, 38% of companies opt for on-premise deployment, 32% choose cloud solutions, and 30% rely on in-house development, which carries higher operational risks.

The transition is phased: the first wave, effective September 1, 2026, targets companies with revenue exceeding 120 million rubles. Subsequent waves will include businesses with revenue over 30 million rubles by September 2027 and over 20 million rubles by September 2028. As of the initial launch, over 200,000 digital ruble accounts were opened within three weeks.
