The Russian Ministry of Digital Development has unveiled a draft federal budget for 2027–2029, allocating over 1 trillion rubles to government programs under its supervision. The State Duma committees have approved the proposal, with the first reading scheduled for October 29.

The budget includes 540.8 billion rubles for the 'Information Society' program and 459 billion rubles for the 'Data Economy' national project. A key shift involves transferring 53.7 billion rubles for geostationary satellite construction from the former to the latter.

Roskomnadzor is set to receive 99 billion rubles for the 2027–2029 period, with 68 billion rubles specifically earmarked for cybersecurity infrastructure, including the monitoring of the Russian internet segment and anti-fraud systems.

Funding for the 'Data Economy' project focuses on digital government management, including 58 billion rubles for the GosTech platform and 52.5 billion rubles for the GosOblako infrastructure. Additionally, 35.1 billion rubles are allocated for artificial intelligence initiatives.

The 'Information Society' program includes 312.6 billion rubles for media support and digital television broadcasting. Meanwhile, state funding for Post of Russia modernization and preferential loans for IT companies has been excluded from the current draft.
