Ruipu Lanjun Energy issued an official statement on September 10 regarding a viral video circulating online. The company confirmed that the incident took place at its Jiashan production base.
According to the company, the employee involved requested an immediate resignation due to personal reasons. A dispute arose over the processing time required by company procedures, which led to the employee losing emotional control and acting aggressively.
The company stated that the incident was resolved on the same day with the involvement of local police. Ruipu Lanjun officially denied allegations that it restricts employees from using the restroom, labeling such claims as false.
The company has filed a police report regarding the misinformation. Moving forward, management plans to improve internal communication mechanisms and strengthen corporate compliance protocols.
Earlier reports incorrectly linked the video to CATL. A representative for CATL denied these claims, stating that the footage does not feature their facilities and that the company has also contacted the police to investigate the rumors.
