Nvidia's high-end graphics cards have seen significant price hikes. The RTX 5090, originally priced at $1,999, is now frequently listed for over $5,000 online. Some Micro Center stores offer the card for as low as $4,200.
Median list prices for the RTX 50-series have increased by up to 39%. The RTX 5070 saw a 36% jump, while the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB rose by 29%. These increases followed reports of regional price hikes outside the United States.
At PAX West 2026, Verified Priority Access is selling Founder's Edition RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 GPUs at their original MSRP. This occurs despite Nvidia not having an official booth at the event, though partners like Razer, Lenovo, and Starforge Systems are present.
Nvidia also launched DLSS 5 for RTX 50-series GPUs in the game NBA 2K27. While modders enabled the technology on RTX 40-series and 30-series GPUs, Nvidia plans to officially support RTX 40-series hardware at a later date.
