System integrator RTK-Service has developed new high-level design solutions for Rostelecom to enhance service quality across its networks. The project focuses on establishing unified Quality of Service (QoS) standards for all primary router types, intended to serve as a long-term architectural foundation.

The initiative involves transitioning to an updated QoS service model that utilizes eight forwarding classes to manage traffic. This approach is designed to handle the increasing volume of data, including streaming video, voice services, and video conferencing, which currently place significant pressure on transport networks.

According to Rostelecom, the implementation of this model is essential for improving network reliability and manageability. The new architecture aims to provide more predictable service quality and scalability, allowing the operator to adapt to changing market requirements while maintaining operational transparency.
