In 2026, Rostelecom expanded its fiber-optic network to 20 additional settlements in the Kuzbass region. The project covered municipalities including Mariinsky, Yurginsky, Chebulinsky, Belovsky, Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Prokopyevsky, and Novokuznetsky districts.

The expansion involved both greenfield deployments and the replacement of legacy copper infrastructure. The provider now utilizes GPON technology, which delivers fiber directly to residential premises.

The new infrastructure enables connection speeds of up to 500 Mbps. Residents in these rural areas have gained access to high-speed internet, interactive television, and various digital services offered by the provider.
