Rostelecom has launched 5G services in seven major Russian cities, including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, and Perm. The operator, which has been providing mobile services since October 2016, reported a 12% growth in its subscriber base over the past year.
The company has seen internet traffic volume more than double over the last five years. Its service portfolio now includes VoWiFi, VoLTE, and eSIM support. Since 2025, the operator has integrated digital security features, such as phishing protection, spam blocking, and account security tools for government service portals.
In 2026, the company introduced new cybersecurity subscription plans called Child Protection and Peace of Mind. Customers can purchase mobile services independently or as part of bundled packages that include home internet, the Wink streaming service, and video surveillance systems.
The First Mobile tariff plan offers 100 GB of data along with 1,000 minutes and SMS. Rostelecom has committed to maintaining the current pricing for this specific tariff plan through the end of 2027.
