Rostec unveiled the updated Blue Sky Pro light therapy glasses at the Bioprom-2026 forum. The device is designed to help users adjust their circadian rhythms when natural light is insufficient, such as during polar nights, shift work, or after crossing time zones.

The new model features a redesigned frame produced via 3D printing with enhanced plastic materials. The glasses emit light that mimics the spectrum of morning and evening sun, targeting light-sensitive retinal cells linked to biological clocks.

According to the developer, regular use of the device for 15 minutes twice a day can help restore a normal sleep-wake cycle within one to two days. The product has undergone neurophysiological testing and field trials in Arctic conditions.

Previously, the Blue Sky Pro glasses were recommended for polar expedition members to mitigate the effects of prolonged sunlight deprivation.
