Rostec has launched mass production of Topbat batteries, which maintain functionality after exposure to fire, cutting, or gunfire. The units are designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -50 to +50 degrees Celsius and withstand deep discharges without significant power loss.

The product line includes lead-acid batteries with reinforced plates, as well as models featuring fiberglass or gel electrolytes. These power sources are developed by RT-Project Technologies and the Impulse research and production enterprise for use in both civilian and military equipment.

According to Vasily Zuykov, CEO of RT-Project Technologies, the batteries are produced entirely from domestic components. The company currently reports an annual production capacity exceeding 2 million units, with plans for further expansion of manufacturing facilities.

The manufacturer claims that these Russian-made batteries are on average 40 percent cheaper than comparable foreign alternatives. The series is designed for long-term use, with a projected service life spanning several decades.
