The Rosel holding has updated the system software for its IG-RSE industrial protocol converter line. These devices function as intermediaries between computer networks and field equipment such as sensors, meters, and controllers within automated process control systems.

The update addresses performance issues in high-load networks. By expanding packet buffers and redesigning the routing core, the devices can now process large data volumes without loss, even during peak traffic spikes or when handling simultaneous requests from primary and backup SCADA servers.

The technical improvements specifically eliminate race conditions that previously blocked serial ports. According to Robert Galimov, CEO of BPO Progress, a subsidiary of Rosel and the developer of the IG-RSE line, these changes ensure stable operation under heavy industrial workloads.

The IG-RSE series is designed for harsh environments, including extreme temperatures and vibrations. The hardware is utilized in sectors such as oil and gas telemechanics, energy, resource metering, and facility dispatching where high reliability is a critical requirement.
