Rosatom's fuel division has entered into a partnership with the Egyptian firm Teletech to establish local assembly facilities for energy storage systems. The project aims to reach an annual production capacity of 500 MWh.

The companies intend to manufacture energy storage solutions tailored for diverse sectors, including the power industry, telecommunications, data centers, and the oil and gas sector.

Rosatom manages the entire production cycle for energy storage, ranging from the manufacturing of electrodes, cells, and battery management systems to the assembly of final traction batteries and stationary storage units.

The corporation expects that localizing assembly operations abroad will facilitate exports. Furthermore, this strategy is designed to reduce equipment costs for local clients and support the technological independence of partner nations.
