Robinhood reported record total net revenue of $1.42 billion for the third quarter of 2026, marking a 12% year-over-year increase. Despite this, diluted earnings per share reached $0.51, failing to meet analyst expectations of $0.54 to $0.57.
The decline in earnings was primarily driven by a 55% drop in cryptocurrency revenue to $120 million and $67 million in unrealized investment losses from Robinhood Ventures Fund I. Notional crypto trading volume on the platform fell 38% to $50 billion.
Growth in other segments helped offset these losses. Revenue from event contracts surged more than six times to $173 million, while options revenue grew 31% to $399 million. Equities revenue increased 41% to $121 million.
The platform now serves 28.7 million funded customers, with total assets rising 19% to $396 billion. Robinhood currently operates 14 distinct business lines, each generating over $100 million in annual revenue.
