Robinhood is expanding its crypto offerings in the United States by introducing perpetual futures. The platform now provides users with access to Bitcoin and Ether, supporting leverage of up to 10x for these financial instruments.
The launch of these services was made possible through the collaboration of Robinhood Derivatives and the Bitstamp exchange. The company also secured a no-action letter from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to facilitate the rollout.
The company is actively advocating for the transition to 24/7 global market operations. According to Nicola White, vice president of institutional crypto at Robinhood, this shift aims to align digital asset trading with the continuous nature of global finance.
Robinhood is focusing on the integration of retail and institutional trading environments. The platform is developing sub-account controls and exploring the use of AI trading agents to manage institutional liquidity and large block trades.
