Starting September 29, Robinhood launched crypto perpetual futures for select US users. The service allows trading of eight digital assets through the company's Derivatives platform and Bitstamp infrastructure.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are available with up to 10x leverage. For six other tokens—Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink, and HYPE—the leverage is capped at 3x.
Robinhood set a temporary trading fee of 0.01%, which will remain in effect until the end of 2026. The company previously tested similar products in the EU market in April 2026.
The infrastructure relies on Bitstamp, which Robinhood acquired in June 2025 for approximately $200 million. The platform operates as a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant and NFA member.
