Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum layer-2 network built on the Arbitrum Orbit stack, launched its mainnet on July 1, 2026. The platform focuses on tokenized real-world assets, providing 1:1 price exposure to US equities and ETFs.
In early September, daily trading volume for pairs consisting of memecoins and tokenized stocks reached $443 million. On September 2 alone, these hybrid pairs recorded $217 million in volume, while direct stock token trading reached $127 million.
Specific assets saw significant activity, such as the token CASHCAT, which reached a market capitalization of $250 million on August 27. However, trading activity for these hybrid pairs has since declined by 96% from its peak.
The drop in volume coincided with reports of coordinated rug-pull activity on the network. Despite the decrease in trading numbers, the total value locked on the Robinhood Chain has remained near $1 billion.
