Rivian reported that the R2 SUV became its best-selling vehicle in the third quarter of 2026. Following this performance, the company increased its annual delivery guidance to a minimum of 67,000 units, up from the previous forecast of 65,000 to 70,000 vehicles.

The company produced 19,751 vehicles and delivered 19,248 in the third quarter, marking a 45% increase in deliveries compared to the same period last year. This growth follows the launch of a second production shift at the factory in Normal, Illinois.

Rivian reported revenue of $2,2 billion for the quarter, with a net loss of $913 million, an improvement from the $1,2 billion loss recorded in the third quarter of 2025. The company aims to overcome a three-year period of stagnant annual sales.

The R2 SUV launched in June with a starting price just under $60,000. A premium trim is expected later this year at $53,990, with additional versions planned for 2027 starting at $44,990.
