Ride1Up has introduced the Prodigy V2 Eco, a new mid-drive electric bicycle priced at $1,295. The model is currently available for pre-order, with deliveries scheduled to commence in the coming weeks.

The bike features a German-made Brose TF Sprinter motor providing 90 Nm of torque and a 504 Wh battery equipped with Samsung cells. It supports Class 3 performance, allowing speeds of up to 28 mph, or 45 km/h.

To achieve the lower price point, the manufacturer opted for more affordable components compared to the premium Prodigy line. The bike includes two-piston hydraulic brakes, a 9-speed drivetrain with a microSHIFT Advent derailleur, and standard tires.

The Prodigy V2 Eco is equipped with a 100mm suspension fork with lockout, integrated lighting, fenders, and a rear rack with a 40 lb capacity. It rolls on 27.5-inch wheels and is offered in both step-through and step-over frame styles.
