Decentralized exchange Reya is abandoning its automated market maker model in favor of a central limit orderbook. As of 13:00 UTC on September 10, 2026, 12 markets were switched to reduce-only mode, restricting users to closing existing positions.

This shift is part of a broader infrastructure migration. In mid-August 2026, the platform began retiring specific markets, including ZRO, JTO, and TON, with open positions automatically settled to ensure an orderly transition.

The exchange also updated its fee structure on August 14. Taker fees were reduced from 4 basis points to 3 basis points, with a potential further decrease to 2 basis points for high-volume traders. Maker fees are currently set at 0 basis points.

Reya is moving from its current Arbitrum Orbit rollup to a based zk-rollup architecture on Ethereum. The objective is to achieve sub-millisecond execution speeds while maintaining cryptographic transaction integrity.

The platform currently supports more than 70 markets and includes yield-bearing assets such as srUSD. Future development plans involve the addition of spot markets and perpetual contracts for real-world assets.
