Revolut has received a banking license from the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, marking its sixth global banking authorization. This regulatory approval allows the company to begin operations as a regulated bank in the country and offer a full suite of financial products.
The company reports that approximately 200 000 users have already joined the waitlist for its services in Colombia. Diego Caicedo, CEO of Revolut Colombia, stated that the platform aims to simplify remittances and provide access to global financial tools.
The firm currently holds banking licenses in the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Lithuania, and Mexico. Additionally, in 2025, Revolut secured a payments license in the United Arab Emirates and an organization license in Peru.
In the United States, the company has received conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for a national bank charter. Upon final approval, Revolut intends to offer U.S. customers credit cards, loans, and FDIC-insured deposits.
According to its annual report released in March, Revolut reported $6 billion in revenue for 2025, representing a 40% increase. The company also achieved record profits of $2,3 billion during the same period.
