German energy startup Reverion has secured €154.2 million in a Series B funding round led by Kembara, the climate fund of Mundi Ventures. New investors including Allianz, KfW Capital, Aurum Impact, and Carbon Equity joined the round, alongside existing backers such as Extantia, Energy Impact Partners, and the EIC Fund.

The company plans to utilize the capital to establish a new megafactory in Germany, aiming to increase annual manufacturing capacity tenfold to 250 megawatts. This expansion supports a commercial project pipeline with a revenue potential exceeding $2 billion. The firm currently employs over 200 people and intends to add 800 more positions at the new site.

Reverion specializes in solid oxide fuel cell technology that converts gases like biogas and hydrogen into electricity with a measured efficiency of 74.2%. The systems operate without combustion and can capture CO2 for storage. Currently, seven power plants are in operation, with international deliveries scheduled to begin later this year.

The startup targets the data center market, offering a solution to power constraints by utilizing local gas infrastructure. This approach allows operators to bypass grid bottlenecks and maintain carbon-neutral or carbon-negative operations. The company previously raised €56 million in Series A funding in September 2024 and received €19.5 million from the European Innovation Fund in March 2025.
