Retail investors have significantly increased their activity on the Binance exchange, with Bitcoin deposits reaching a six-month peak. According to data from CryptoQuant, the 30-day total for retail inflows rose from $5,5 billion in April to $10,75 billion. This current volume of retail deposits is 2,8 times higher than the volume of deposits made by whale investors.

In contrast to retail participants, large Bitcoin holders have reduced their exchange deposits. Since late August, whale deposits on Binance dropped by 36%, declining from $5,9 billion to $3,8 billion. Analysts note that while this represents a clear slowdown in activity, it does not indicate a complete halt in whale deposits.

The divergence between these two groups of investors highlights different market strategies. While retail investors may be utilizing the current price rebound to exit positions, whales appear to be holding their assets. The data provided by CryptoQuant covers only the Binance platform, meaning trends on other exchanges may vary.
