Developer Mayuki has released ReProgman, a project that recreates the classic Windows 3.1 Program Manager. The tool allows users to experience the interface of the 1990s operating system on modern Windows 11 and macOS devices.

The project was developed using Claude Code in approximately one hour. The final application size ranges between 12 and 16 MB, and it requires no installation to run. Users must have .NET SDK 10.0 or higher installed to execute the program.

The source code for ReProgman is available on GitHub under the MIT license. While the project aims to replicate the retro experience, some enthusiasts prefer running the original Windows 3.1 software on modern hardware, such as systems equipped with Ryzen 9 9900X processors and RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards.
