The Future is Neutral, a joint venture between Renault and Suez, is presenting its circular economy model at the Automechanika trade fair in Frankfurt/Main, held from September 8 to 12, 2026. The company was founded by Renault Group in 2022 and later integrated Suez, which acquired a 20 percent stake in October 2024.

The company's division, The Remakers, is introducing an industrial refurbishment service for the 6AM electric motor. This magnet-free synchronous machine is used in the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric and Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric models. Refurbished motors are offered at approximately 30 percent lower cost than new ones while maintaining equivalent performance and reliability.

The Remakers has already expanded its portfolio of refurbished EV components to include the 5A electric motor, used in the Renault Zoe and Renault Kangoo Z.E., as well as the Power Electronic Controller.

A study by consulting firm Quantis analyzed the life cycle of eight product families of refurbished components. The findings show that refurbished electric motors reduce environmental impact by at least 67 percent across five indicators, including climate change and resource consumption. Refurbished power electronics show a reduction of at least 47 percent across the same indicators.
