Renault will invest €600 million into its production facilities in Valladolid and Palencia, Spain, by 2030. The funding comes from the company's own capital, as well as national and regional subsidies aimed at industrial transformation and sustainable mobility.

The plants will produce five new vehicle models, including two electric vehicles in the C-segment. Additionally, the Valladolid site will host a new battery assembly line. These developments are part of the company's futuREady strategy.

The new electric models will utilize the RGEV Medium 2.0 platform, which features an 800-volt architecture. This platform supports various body styles and offers a WLTP range of up to 750 km, or up to 1,400 km for versions equipped with a range extender.

The investment follows a collective bargaining agreement valid through 2028, which secures 6,000 jobs at the Spanish sites. The project is supported by the Spanish government and the regional government of Castile and León.
