Red Soft has released version 1.1 of its Red VDI Terminal Edition. The update introduces support for command-line arguments for remote applications, allowing administrators to pre-configure parameters for specific tasks like opening 1C:Accounting or browsers with security policies.

The Red Direct protocol now incorporates FFmpeg-based encoding and the H.264 codec to improve graphical data transmission. Additionally, the system features a new sticky sessions mechanism, enabling users to resume interrupted sessions without re-authentication or data loss.

Administrative tools have been expanded to include detailed session logs, such as user names, IP addresses, resource types, and timestamps. The interface now includes a Favorites section for quick access to frequently used virtual desktops and remote applications.

The licensing model has been updated to allow an unlimited number of sessions per user under a single concurrent license. The software also supports a direct upgrade path from version 1.0 to 1.1. A webinar covering these features is scheduled for September 17, 2026.
