Red Magic has officially confirmed that its upcoming gaming smartphone, the 12 Pro+, will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. This flagship platform is designed to improve performance, energy efficiency, and stability during extended gaming sessions.
The device is scheduled for an official launch in October 2026. The manufacturer has redesigned the chassis, making the phone thinner, lighter, and more compact than its predecessor. The new model will also feature a more rounded design to enhance ergonomics.
A key visual update involves the display bezels, which will be reduced from 1.25 mm to 0.96 mm. Furthermore, the smartphone will incorporate an under-display camera, allowing for a screen design completely free of notches or cutouts.
The company emphasizes that the new hardware architecture is optimized for sustained high-performance gaming. Executives noted that the focus remains on maintaining stability under heavy loads while ensuring the device remains comfortable for daily use.
