Raspberry Pi has announced a new round of price increases for its single-board computers, marking the third such adjustment this year. The company cites rising costs for LPDDR4 and LPDDR5 memory components as the primary driver for these changes.

The Raspberry Pi 5 2GB model now costs $77.50, representing a 19% increase from its previous price of $65. Since its initial launch at $50, the total price growth for this specific model has reached 55%.

The Raspberry Pi 4 2GB has also seen a significant price hike, rising 23% to reach $67.50. This model previously cost $55, while its original launch price was $45. Depending on the reference point, users are paying between 50% and 93% more than previous price levels.

Higher-capacity models have experienced even steeper increases throughout 2026. The Raspberry Pi 5 16GB, 8GB, and Raspberry Pi 4 8GB models have seen price hikes of up to 83%, 63%, and 53% respectively compared to their original MSRPs.

While Raspberry Pi has currently frozen prices for 1GB models, the company notes that maintaining these levels is becoming increasingly difficult. Recent firmware updates have also restricted users from soldering their own memory to the boards, effectively preventing the use of barebones configurations.
