A recent study by iSeeCars identifies automotive brands with the highest probability of reaching the 250,000-mile milestone. Asian manufacturers currently lead the rankings, with Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Acura occupying the top four positions. These brands significantly outperform the industry average of 5.4 percent.

Toyota models demonstrate a 19.7 percent likelihood of hitting this mileage, followed by Lexus at 14.4 percent, Honda at 13.3 percent, and Acura at 9.5 percent. Other mainstream manufacturers, including Ford, Chevrolet, and Mazda, also showed competitive results in the analysis.

Conversely, several luxury and specialized brands recorded lower probabilities. BMW and Audi models each show a 0.5 percent chance, while Mercedes-Benz stands at 2.6 percent. Brands such as Jaguar and Mini recorded a 0.0 percent probability, with Fiat at 0.2 percent and Porsche at 0.3 percent.

Executive analyst Karl Brauer noted that lower rankings for luxury vehicles may reflect usage patterns rather than inherent durability. Owners of luxury models often drive fewer miles annually compared to those who use mainstream vehicles, which influences the statistical likelihood of reaching the quarter-million-mile mark.
