Quantron, now operating as a business unit under Andreas Haller Holding, is entering the Chinese market through a new consortium with partners HyperView and Riyue Group. The initiative focuses on developing platforms for battery-electric and hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles, with Foxconn serving as the industrial manufacturing partner.

The strategic framework agreement includes a commitment to supply 2,000 zero-emission trucks to a government-affiliated platform company in Shaoxing by 2030. Quantron will act as a system integrator, while HyperView provides expertise in hydrogen mobility and autonomous driving, and Riyue Group contributes knowledge in renewable energy.

This move marks a return for the brand following the insolvency of the original Quantron AG in October 2024. In April 2025, founder Andreas Haller acquired the remaining assets and retained 35 employees. The company previously attempted similar international expansion strategies in the USA, the Middle East, and India, which were unsuccessful due to liquidity issues.
