Quantron and the Chinese technology firm HyperView have formed a joint venture based in Shaoxing. The partnership, which includes Foxconn as an industrial manufacturing partner, aims to develop a platform for battery-electric and hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles. The venture will focus on both the domestic Chinese market and international expansion.

The collaboration centers on the new Gen2 platform, designed for trucks and buses. It will feature improved aerodynamics, a next-generation cab, connectivity, and digital fleet management tools. The platform also provides the technical foundation for future autonomous driving capabilities. The first public presentation of these vehicles is scheduled for the first half of 2027.

Before the full launch, the partners plan to deploy 100 pre-series vehicles to European customers by the end of 2026. This fleet will serve as a validation tool, collecting data on energy consumption, performance, and customer feedback to refine the Gen2 platform. Quantron will utilize its Quantron-as-a-Service business model to offer these vehicles alongside maintenance and energy solutions.

The brand is currently operating under Andreas Haller Holding following a restructuring process that began after the original Quantron AG filed for insolvency in October 2024. Andreas Haller acquired the assets and 35 employees in April 2025. The company now leverages HyperView’s expertise in intelligent vehicle architecture and its own experience in zero-emission vehicle integration.
