Quant (QNT) has experienced a 287% price increase over the past week, reaching $266.75. This rally coincided with the activation of two large wallets that had been dormant for over three years. One wallet transferred 8,250 QNT, valued at approximately $1.88 million, to Binance. Another wallet moved 34,200 QNT, worth $8.05 million, with 9,000 QNT sent to Coinbase and Kraken.
On-chain data from Santiment recorded 645 whale transactions of at least $100,000 in a single day, marking a record high. Retail interest also surged, with QNT becoming the most-viewed coin on CoinGecko. Derivatives market activity saw dollar-denominated open interest grow nearly ninefold over four days, while open interest measured in QNT increased by 2.2 times.
The surge in network activity followed an announcement on September 24 that The Clearing House, owned by 25 major US banks, selected Quant for its tokenized deposit network. By September 27, the number of new addresses reached 7,516, compared to 351 on the day of the announcement. Active addresses rose from 2,064 to 14,458 during the same period.
On Sunday, the price of QNT reached $373 on Binance, its highest level since September 2021 and approximately 13% below the all-time high of $427.42. Analysts note that the network backed by The Clearing House is not scheduled to launch until the first half of 2027, and current metrics do not confirm whether banks will utilize the platform.
