The QArtText tool allows users to embed text directly into QR codes while maintaining error correction capabilities. By utilizing bytes located after the terminator, which are typically ignored by standard decoders, the tool enables the encoding of various data types including URLs, phone numbers, and Wi-Fi passwords.
The software functions as a Progressive Web Application that operates entirely within the browser without transmitting data to external servers. Users can manually adjust the text placement or individual pixels within the generated QR code, with the system automatically recalculating error correction metrics as changes are made.
The final output can be exported in several formats, including PNG bitmaps, SVG vectors, or DXF files for vinyl cutters. The project source code is publicly available on GitHub for further inspection and development.
