Developer RafaelNGP has released a non-official client named PSBOX Cloud Gaming on GitHub. This software allows users to run Microsoft Xbox Cloud Gaming on jailbroken PlayStation 5 consoles, supporting streaming at a resolution of 1080p at 60 frames per second.

The client enables users to browse the Xbox cloud library and map up to four DualSense controllers to function as Xbox controllers. Authentication is handled by logging into an Xbox account via the PS5, with the final step completed using a mobile device and a code displayed on the TV screen.

The application leverages the PS5 GPU to upscale visuals to 4K resolution using AMD FSR 1 or Anime4K technology. Additionally, the software supports the use of the native PS5 system keyboard for text entry within games.

Installation requires downloading a zip file from GitHub and loading it through a Homebrew loader. As the project is in an early development stage, some users have reported technical issues, including macroblocking, pink artifacts, and abnormal vibration feedback on DualSense controllers.

Following user requests, the developer added support for Xbox Remote Play, which allows streaming games from a user's own Xbox console to the PS5. This feature was introduced in an update released shortly after the initial version of the client.
